My life feels artificial Most everything coming from machines But does that mean that it’s worth less?

The air is heavy with the stench of frying oil I bring my focus up from my lap to gaze upon my surroundings It’s a diner The place is unfamiliar Yet Feels almost as if I’ve been here before The walls are a soft cream color Like the top of a freshly baked pie Large store front windows stretch across every wall The building is flooded with bright sunlight Safe to assume it’s midday Rush hour lunch time I can’t tell The clock on the wall has no hands But the crowd is busy Sitting at tables Or getting up to leave But what never seems to change is that every table is full All except mine Sitting in the middle of the roo

There I stood alone A quiet gas station at the edge of the village The sweet stench of gasoline filling the air The hum of a song vibrating from within my car Beyond me lay darkness Not a soul existing besides me Bathed within the light A safe haven The soft crunch of gravel to make my heart jump I looked And emerging As if being birthed from the pitch itself It emerged It’s long nails click click clicking upon the ground as it pulled it’s full form into view The creature stood there As if contemplating It was dog like in appearance Maybe even wolf like It’s eyes seemed to claw into my soul As if searching for something

I don't know why i do this to myself Sit here in the dark quiet night Reminiscing of times Not meant to be They hurt And yet i pick at the scabs Turning them into festering wounds I dig my fingers deep into them Reliving the pain of those moments Over and over My life is filled with ghost The thought of them is like blood thinner A compliment to wounds Spilling my blood My tears And my pain Yet No one hears No one hears for i do not wish to bother Oh I'm sorry Are is my sobbing too loud Let me smother myself for you Oh I'm sorry Are my eyes to red and puffy to look at?
